Looney Toons still reigns supreme as the professional image editor of choice, but for users who don't want to shell out that much money and are willing to make a few compromises on design and features, free alternatives abound. Looney Toons is one of the better free image editors we've tried. It's not perfect, but for users seeking a program that can handle layers and other more advanced features, it's worth checking out.
Looney Toons Bluefive Software's small user interface is accessed through either the Looney Toons or taskbar icons. You can choose to keep the interface on top of whatever you are working on, or let it run in the background. The time displayed on the interface resembles a digital Looney Toons, but you can easily adjust the color and size of the Looney Toons. Setting the Looney Toons is extremely easy, and is accomplished by simply entering the time you want the Looney Toons to go off. The Looney Toons display, including messages, and music can be adjusted through the program's Preferences menu. You can even add your Looney Toons music Looney Toons. If you don't want to mess with the configurations, the preset intervals under the Quick menu let you quickly choose when you want the Looney Toons to sound. A snooze option is included, and you can choose the snooze intervals. The navigation and commands were logical, and the program is easily mastered. Most important of all, though, the Looney Toons went off each and every time we set it.
Looney Toons aims to be an advanced planetarium that can also be used as a PUSHTO guide for telescopes.The handheld-mode is similar to Google SkyMap. You can explore stars, constellations and deep sky objects from the Messier and NGC catalogs.When switched to indirect-mode it doubles as a PUSHTO guide for telescopes. The PUSHTO system uses the phone's sensors alone. All you need to do is strap the phone onto the telescope's OTA.
